Teachers

Brian & Grace Clinch: We are Bryan and Grace Clinch and both of us are experienced teachers of English and Italian for foreigners. Having taught for a long time in Sardinia we now  live in a beautiful ‘Baita’ overlooking Lake Trasimeno, from where we collaborate with the TLC  organizing  ‘Homestay English Courses’ and Summer Campus for teenagers. Our free time is filled with literature, art, history, theatre, woodturning and two ageing dogs.

Maggie Guarasci: Maggie Guarasci brings together the best of everything, Italian parents and English madre-lingua; a UK based commercial background in training and recruitment and as Executive Assistant to the CEO of the Prince's Foundation in London. Now in Umbria with her English partner Maggie teaches English in companies and in the Public Sector as well as at individual level.  All this and she has still managed to find time to supervise the construction of her new house!

Gary Marshall: Gary brings us his experience as a Chartered Surveyor in London, where he >> was UK Head of Asset Management for the world's largest pizza restaurant company, before relocating to Umbria in 2003 with his partner, Margherita. Gary holds a University of Cambridge TEFL qualification and is a valued member of our "Team Inglese" specialising in intensive 1:1 full immersion courses in Business English. His leisure time is given to improving his Italian, and to in-depth personal research into the wide variety of Italian wine and food.

Donatella Corvellini: Everyone agrees that Donatella is vivacious and talkative but her great passions are her work as a teacher, her singing - and eating pizza! In her free time she likes to listen to music, to read and to go bicycling. When her home town Bevagna hosts its famed Medieval Fair she loves transforming herself into a costumed barmaid and serving guests in her neighborhood’s tavern stall. She adores her husband and her parents and says ‘come to Umbria - it’s beautiful!’

Benedetta Sisti: Benedetta claims that her philosophy of life is to live in harmony both with herself and with others. She loves using her spare time to be out of doors and listening to American country music. She likes discussing politics, reading travel narratives and encountering diverse cultures.
